I started training with Jason around 3 years ago. The first day we sat down and talked about what I wanted to work on and my goals in hockey. Ever since that first day I knew Jason was the real deal and that I could trust him in making me a better player and a better person. He makes sure to make the work out specific to whatever sport you play. My game has developed in every aspect ever since I started with Jason. From a huge boost in my speed, agility, strength, size, shooting, stickhandling, confidence and everything else you could think of. Jason isn’t only my trainer but he has been a great mentor to me as well. JD Strength Performance is a great place to work out with a great atmosphere. Anyone who is looking to bring there game to the next level should train and JD Strength Performance, it’ll be the best Decision you’ve ever made.

Jason trained my vertical jump which has really helped me in pushing off the walls. The JD program is not just weights in the gym but more importantly focused on cross training, like running which has helped my endurance and also helped me get faster in the water. I would recommend this program to all of my teammates because it has really helped me out.

Working with JD Strength Performance over the last 2 summers gave me the constant push to bring my game to the next level. JD Strength Performance gave me a hockey specific training program to separate myself from other athletes competing against me on the ice. The coaching was great, always supportive, encouraging me to push harder, even when I thought I couldn’t go any more. Overall, if you take sports seriously and want to be the best, I highly recommend training with Jason at JD Strength Performance.

In May, 2008, we hired Jason De Maria to work with our son, Matt, a Division 1 Collegiate Swimmer for Eastern Illinois University. Although our son had adequate pool time for training over the summer, he felt the need to improve his overall strength and weight training. Jason’s work with Matt throughout the summer months proved successful, as Matt’s times were faster at the beginning of the season than they were at the end of his last.

Jason’s ability to independently create and develop a sports specific dry land training program for our son proved his knowledge in his field of exercise science. The training took place four times per week at a sports specific training facility. There were many times when Matt didn’t feel like working out or pushing himself. Jason enthusiastically encouraged Matt to continue to work out and to reach for that next level. At times, it was difficult to coordinate a training time with Matt’s work schedule and swimming practice, but Jason was very flexible and very reliable. His diverse knowledge in training techniques, meeting our son’s individual needs, was quite evident in the progress that was made.

At the end of the summer, Jason printed out a spreadsheet indicating to Matt where he started in many areas, and where he finished. It was quite impressive. The growth in strength and flexibility was significant. He was much stronger than the year before and his overall core strength had improved. This has made an improvement in Matt’s stroke technique as well.

Jason demonstrated nothing but professionalism and dedication in his work, as his passion for helping student athletes achieve their own goals was without question. Because of Matt’s success after that first summer, we have continued to hire back Jason to work with our son during the off-season.

My son, Michael, a freshman in high school, began training with Jason a little over a year ago on his agility and speed. Just after 5 months, Michael went from being an offensive lineman on his Pee Wee football team, to the starting wide receiver on the freshman high school team. He led his team in receptions with 18. During the past 3 months Michael has also been lifting weights under the guidance of Jason. After 3 months, Michael has gained 13 pounds and had the second highest squat amongst his football teammates, even though he only weights 140 pounds. Jason works well with all ages and levels of grade school and high school athletes because he makes exercising fun and is very patient. Jason knows how to help young athletes get more agile and stronger without compromising his or her health. If not for Jason’s help, my son would not be participating and succeeding in high school athletics.

Michael Toussaint Sr., Father of High School Football Player

My training with Jason has allowed me to take my athleticism to the next level. Within only a few weeks of training I was able to shred my previous 40-yard dash time and add a couple inches onto my vertical. The staff is very knowledgeable with their training techniques and work hard to motivate you. All you have to do is show up to your training sessions with the right mindset and JD Strength Performance will take care of the rest.
